Hi, I'm Jaclyn Kelley, Proud Broker and owner of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Destinations located in Key Largo, the first island in the Fabulous Florida Keys! I have been a resident of the Upper Keys since 2002, originally from Massachusetts I do not take my Florida Keys life for granted! I understand the beauty, the warmth, and the incredible backyard full of natural wonders at our fingertips. I grew up near Cape Cod with woods and water all around me. The Florida Keys was a natural and welcomed transition for me!
I take my work very seriously, I always have, even as a child. Hard work was instilled in me by my hard working blue collar family. It's just a part of who I am. I'm a worker bee!
I started a career in real estate in 2005 while simultaneously working on my degree from Miami Dade College, working nights in restaurants and mornings as Director of Sales and Marketing for a SCUBA and watersports company. I immediately fell in love with real estate. It was a difficult time for anyone in the real estate industry. I knew it was my calling. I enthralled myself into education and leadership opportunities. Growing within my field as much as I could, despite the odds. Looking back, it was a great time to get started.
For the next decade, I served in various leadership roles on the Florida Keys Board of REALTORS® as a director and eventually President; many Florida Association of Realtors® and National Association of Realtors® committees. I earned the FKBR REALTOR® Rookie of The Year award in 2007 for service in the association as well as in the community. Fast forward 10 years later, In 2017 I was elected to serve as the District IV Vice President for Florida REALTORS® representing over 45,000 agents at the state and national level. I learned I have a passion not only for helping homeowners achieve their goals and dreams but helping agents learn how to excel and be their very best. I find it truly humbling and rewarding to have these incredible people believe in me and decide to partner with me and my Brokerage. Not a title I take lightly.
I am now a proud mother of two beautiful children with a loving husband who grew up right here in Islamorada. We are deeply rooted in this community, the people, the environment, the longevity of our businesses and the unique way of life, here in the Florida Keys.
